Upcom Ltd is currently looking for an Analyst (REF UPC120102) to be part of the team in one of our clients in Brussels, Belgium

Description of Tasks
•    Analyse and evaluate user business requirements.
•    Participation in meeting with business to understand the processes and gather the needs.
•    Produce design, analysis, use cases and implementation models.
•    Produce implementation model and software architecture document.
•    Complete the implementation models with technical details necessary for development of the use cases (input and output data analysis, analysis of interfaces and events).
•    Analyse, describe and model the data that needs to be updated, created, deleted during the business process.
•    Write related analysis documents and prepare presentation slides.
•    Follow up of developments and ensure the outcome is compliant to business needs (technical interface between project leader and developers), participate in progress meetings.
•    Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the technical training, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting.

Specific skills
•    Ability to participate in meetings with users and IT teams in French and English, ease of communication.
•    Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.
•    In-depth knowledge of development methodologies (e.g. RUP) and modeling (e.g. UML).
•    Good knowledge of BPMN modeling descriptions.
•    Good knowledge of XML (and namely xsd definitions)
•    Good knowledge and experience in software design and architecture.

Education
•    University degree with minimum 5 years experience in IT.
•    Analysis and development experience (Java and SQL is required).
•    Experience with UML or case tools.
•    Experience with relational databases.

Other skills
•    A keen sense of teamwork, a flexible approach, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Fluent in English, knowledge of French will be an asset.
•    Ability to understand and to be understood.
•    Inquiring mind.
•    Eye for detail/accuracy.
•    Pragmatism.
•    Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments.
